We’re pumped to be at Gather Atlanta for a third time! This annual conference includes some of the coolest creative organizations in Atlanta and is not to be missed! We’ll be at SCAD from 3p-7p on Saturday, August 6. Swing by our table to learn more about our mission and how to submit your artwork for FORM: 2011. Why hello!

We’ve taken an extended commercial break to get some housekeeping and getting-ducks-in-a-row-ing out of the way, but now we’re back and excited to announce that submissions for FORM: artistic independence are officially open! This will be our fourth year publishing FORM and we want to make the experience easier (i.e. less costy, more fun) for everyone involved. Click the Submit tab for further details, but here’s a quick and dirty:

• We will be launching a Kickstarter in just a few weeks in an effort to publish FORM: 2011 at absolutely no cost to the artists selected for this year’s book. The more money we are able to raise, the more artists we can help get published.
• We’ve made improvements to the submissions process with a fancy new Dropbox so you can drop your off files and get on with your life.
• We are fast-tracking submissions this year, with a hard deadline of September 30. We gotta get on with the show and stay on track for publication, so procrastinators take note!

Submit your work and spread the word. As always, FORM: artistic independence is open to Atlanta-based creatives of all disciplines and skill levels. We want it all – photographers, performance artists, sculptors, graphic designers, you name it – if your work can be represented in a book, it’s fair game. Hey and happy New Year! This Sunday, January 9 marks the very last day for FORM: 2010 artists to pick up gallery artwork. We’ll be at MINT during regular gallery hours (3:oo to 6:00). If you reserved a copy of FORM: artistic independence, you can also pick up your book at that time, or if you’d like to purchase a copy we will have some on hand as well. See you on Sunday!

Well, let’s face it, we’ve had a pretty amazing 2010. From WHAM, to the amazing partnerships we’ve formed, to our latest feat, FORM: 2010,  it’s been a great 12 months. Of course none of it would have been possible without the love and support of the ATL creative community, so give yourself a pat on the back! The WE Design Atlanta team will be working hard over the holidays in preparation for an even better 2011 (don’t feel too bad for us, we’ll be at the beach.) Stayed tuned early in the new year because we’ll have many more exciting events, partnerships and projects to shout about (and a shiny new website to boot!). Here’s to you and wishing you and yours a very happy, healthy and safe holiday and New Year. See you in 2011!
